Pretty much all gear will be allowed outside of right click items. I'm still waiting on feedback from the staff to present the rules.

It's as close to best of the best as it was on live server. That includes people allowing to wear the gear they have.

No, but it's the most important thing. A VP-geared anything will have to be an utter moron to lose to someone that's even highly skilled. Making this whole exercise something that only a small percentage of level 60s can hope to win.

It was like that in Live, but I guess we'll just never know who's 'best' eh? I hope the participants enjoy themselves and have some epic battles among their other elitely geared brethren.

Makes no difference to me as long as No Trade items are banned. That's the only way to really know who's the Best of the Best. Otherwise, you're just seeing whose guild is best.

That's horseshit. There are Bards who are better geared than me but I'm still the best. In fact the Bard BotB competition should just decide who gets to face big Giegue. Otherwise the result will basically be predetermined, and the other lesser Bards will get discouraged.

Pretty sure aside from epic/VP gear I match up very well gear wise against any druid on the server. Levels in a melee duel dont mean as much as in a caster duel, a 50 druid wouldn't last 1 cast against a 59+ druid. Unless you're going to do seperate tournaments for each level group I dont see the sense in including anyone below 55.

I think its should be 55+ I don't think there is much purpose other than making it take longer to allowing low levels to fight level 60s

Actually this is a terrifying and logical condition. It will skew results even further towards elite gear.

My trepidation is linked more to casters than anything, and I don't consider bards to be either caster or melee, but bards.
