Yea, I've got shotguns and rifles, ammunition prices are going up for those, too... Luckily duck and dear season only comes once a year... If it was year round I'd be broke.

Everywhere. If anything, my state would have been last on rising gun and ammo prices, being that I am deep south Louisiana... It's everywhere. Laws are much more stricter up North from what I hear.

Says who? I have not heard anything about that and I follow the industry semi-closely. There is a shortage, just because people are stocking up. Please cite your source, don't believe you~

This morning I talked to someone over at Bass Pro who informed me that they can no longer get .22lr ammo from the manufactures. According to my source at Bass Pro, they have been told by a number of major manufacturers that they will not be sending anything out until at least April."

Good to know that they haven't stopped them completely. People are stocking up, yes, but a lot of the stores have raised prices with ammunition still on the shelves. A 22 caliber shell is also considered in the assault range because some auto rifles can shoot it as well. Not all laws have taken effect yet, which is why people are stocking up.
