Torpor keeps you alive not regen.

The regen is nice but you just won't really notice it.

When you get stunned and take an extra two rounds of quad damage and die you will wish you roled an ogre.

I've been a troll 60 on live and always envied my guild mate ogres who could kill things the barbs and trolls couldn't.
Thanks for the enlightenment. Did not approach from this angle. U sir made Rlvl/Azure smarter. Few earn this honor.

Ogre. Hell, if there were no race / class restrictions, I would always be an ogre. Frontal stun immunity > any other racial trait.

How does stun immunity prevent this from happening anyways? What you get another torpor off? 300hp a tick isn't going to save you from getting quaded again.

Stun immunity makes everything run smoothly. No missed DPS from interrupted spell cast, as poster above mentioned it will be slowed right on time.

People that are max efficient with slows/dots/torpor will have it timed right so they are casting spells right when they need to.

This crap is all irrelevant unless you are trying to down the toughest mobs possible solo.

Its all about landing malo and slow before you die. Usually you torpor yourself at full hp then pull with slow so you are already healing when your getting hit.

Mobs can stun you with normal hits and quad. Depending on the mob and your hp, you might be able to only get one or two casts off to slow it before you are dead.

Torpor only keeps you alive if its slowed.

I really think I'm set on ogre. WW Wyverns and Lozidal are pretty much my end-game goals because I do not plan on doing any type of raiding beyond what I need for my epic.

Gotcha, that makes sense. So an Ogre is likely to live long enough to get a second slow off if the initial slow gets resisted, correct?
