I remember playing that evening as there were system wide messages broadcasting serverwide when we were near the 75k mark. I was in feerrott.

the number of 60s, even in top guilds, was large but not universal. I don't know for a fact whether or not Triton (for example) was all level 60s.

just the fact that there were new servers and split servers (I moved from povar to xev when they split povar) being opened around this time meant that many players were not 60. i imagine that it was more max level chars on the original servers just by the average time that players had been playing.

playing velious is not going to be anywhere near as fun for the top guilds when they have all max level toons with VP gear.

I think it's even more an issue of having, MULTIPLE, max level toons with full VP gear; allowing for an effective raid-class-combination at any given time.

I mean looking at the <TMO> app, they recommend having more than one "raid ready" toon just to APPLY to the guild.
