I remember so many PUG naggy/vox raids on my warrior when I first started EQlive. I would see people shouting and gathering people in Gfay lol. Was literally a 4 hour affair lol.

As someone who has been around P99 since oct of 2009, the server changed forever the first time naggy was killed. In the true tradition of P99 tho, people cheated and were banned because of the first naggy kill lol.
I also can remember people running to zones and seeing /shout or /ooc for Naggy or Vox raids lf more 46-52 and all the other text filled, come out & help your fellow player type stuff. I only played live from Kunark to LDoN time frame, so idk what happened after all that.

Plus the clearing of the FGs taking an hour, buffing everyone for an hour, and camping to wait in the chat rooms at server select.

I got a bladestopper on live from a PUG. I used it to save someone on an open plane of growth raid later on, not realizing that runes were a lot of aggro and eventually vendored the shield. I also remember killing myself on ice giants outside so I could delevel from 53->52 and worrying that the timer would run out because the raids took so long.

I ran a couple of open Vox raids on Xegony back during this era. Back then it was just a matter of using your little guild to get the word out in various zones to assemble a bunch of randos, since she'd be up for days. First one failed, but the second one was a success. Never tried her again, though.

Kinda wish you could do the same thing on this server, but I doubt she'd ever stay up long enough for that to happen.

Omg this. I played a sham, and the way we did buffs was people would stand in like a single file line in front of a shaman to get full buffs. Everyone on the raid. When you wre buffed, you would /say next. Don't ask why we didn't use tells, cuz I have no idea. Didn't know to hide casters behind a wall either. Twas chaos.

One time shortly before velious release there was a pickup voxx raid and the GM actually spawned a second vox after the first one died so quickly....100 players from casual scum guilds showed up , it was pretty ridiculous

Heres the video of the encounter heh

Was very good times. May the PuGs continue! Cloki and Culkasi and I tend to lead these things when the timing is right. I suspect that VS, once he becomes a 3 day mob, will likely be another PuG raid for the server a few months after he changes.
