As a level 50 gnome warrior myself, I can say that there really ain't much of a difference between any of the races with good gear and buffs. Having a little extra health as an ogre is cool I guess, but how many fights are decided by a single digit percentage difference in hp? As a bonus, you can pull in any zone and wall vision helps tremendously, AND your starting dexterity is high, which is helpful for weapon procs.
Healers I've played with say they can't tell any difference between me and any other race. Moral of the story is that you can excel as any race.

I will admit that being able to carry more as a gnome would be nice, but my box of Abu Kar and weight reduction bags mostly solves that problem.

Stats-wise HIE/ERU Paladins have to be up there. But for me, choosing a deity with needlessly bad faction is the single most badass/impressive thing. Innoruuk Enchanter? Hell yea. Bertox Cleric? Runnin' from the law in your own city as class without invis? Fucking sweet.

I like the warrior trainer in Freeport's Innoruuk guild.
I almost spaffed when I realised the implication this npc was a barbarian warrior of Innoruuk. I also like the half elf wizards in the karanas (bandits), and the halfling that fraudulently claims to be a paladin outside the Church of Mischief.

Has to be Human Druid...
By the time you hit 50+ you're probably sick of looking at it, few would push to 55, let alone 60.
