If you need that many things to fix rangers, then I have a better and more simple solution for you:

- Delete your ranger, roll a useful class

Class is basically fine once it gets its defence skill bump late Velious.

My only spell change would be to add Cure Disease. I wonder if the omission of this spell was an oversight or design decision? Is it in reference to Aragorn being unable to heal the affliction put on Frodo by the Nazghul's Mordor blade?

Itemisation I'd want to add ranger to Chestplate of Vindication (but I see why they are omitted - they aren't really a class associated with giants nor plate... Shaman just get in by the skin of their teeth).

I just watched LOTR FOTR again, so I will also say add double attack to archery, but I don't think it is needed. Some kind of pet would be nice to have (maybe befriend animal). Thinking about it, maybe this is what the double damage vs stationary bonus represents?

Best fix for ranger:

Give War, Pal, SK proper bash agro (bugfix). Then give them double bash at lvl 40. Up bashing dmg slightly and raise skillcaps. Give cleric regular bash at 40.

How will this help rangers you say? Well, they won't die as much!

So it's on the front page and people are forced to read it.

It's comical that rangers can't cure disease.

The dev's were/are obviously pro-evil so they made the Ranger and paladin a laughing stock. There are people who want humans and human things to fail.

They gave their super evil race OP innate regen.

How canl evil even med? heal? How can a cleric and monk be evil?

Evil = Brain cancer
Good = Cure for Brain Cancer
Verant = Boosted Brain cancer to OP status and nerfed cure for brain cancer.
Players = "I want to be brain cancer! Brain cancer is cool"
Norrath = Hell (humans not welcome)

I think games like this need to do away with alignment entirely.

Characters have more nuanced and granular motivations, morals, ethics, values, than a version of spin the bottle.

I think it's obvious, EQ is just a part of a LONG LINE of predictive programming designed to prepare us for satan's arrival.

- Increase swim speed skill
- Increase double attack skill
- Increase dual wield skill
- Add spell to cure disease
- Remove BS restrictions on non-moving, non-rooted targets 50+ (Shaman, Necro and Druids don't have that crap)
- Significantly Lower cooldown of Trueshot Discipline and increase duration
- Make Rangers sound like Predator and give them similar cloaking graphic
