My thoughts on the vid (some Doctor commenting on the fight) are:

- Brain atrophy can be mitigated by doing cardio, speaking a second language, playing an instrument, or doing puzzles. Was Mike doing any of these? Probably not, other than a bit of cardio in prep for the fight. To my knowledge surgeons still perform life or death surgical procedures past the age of 58, so why doesn’t this doctor pearl clutch about their degraded motor coordination?

- There are dudes doing very well in Ironmans and ultra marathons past 60. I didn’t watch the fight, but I’m guessing Mike had garbage cardio. When you have garbage cardio, your punches lose their power and therefore their threat, and the entire fight dynamic changes. The opponent is no longer concerned with defense as much and can simply tee off on them for the remainder of the fight

- Just because someone is on TRT and has big muscles…does…not….make…them…fit. Mike or someone else could have done better had they been taking better care of themselves and continuing to train + doing things to combat aging rather than just lifting and injecting test

You know what wasn't fake? The actual title bout of the evening: Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano.

Seems to me like the whole thing was set up for that. JP and Tyson were just the entertainment.

I was watching it to re-create me watching tyson with my dad.

I will give tyson one thing though, lets all give him credit for that first 45 seconds. If you watch that, it looks like 1986 all over again. Tyson came bursting out of the corner swinging so fast it was awesome to see that again.

Then at the end of round 2 he sat down like a dad not a boxer.

By round 3 i was kind of worried mike was gonna get hurt and felt a little bad. But I think by round 4 I knew that JP had won by decision already, and he wasn't gonna knock him down.

I feel like it was one of those sports memes we all get emotional watching when they let the special needs kid win.
