In the 21st century, if you live in an advanced country all scarcity is manufactured, not natural, barring water. Water, you are on your own.

Wage labor is as "sociologically addicting" as slavery was. It will take most of this century to unwind the fiction that we have to sweat to eat, and that's in the advanced countries.

Other countries, yeah, still gotta sweat to eat. But surprisingly less than last century.

History does not care about our addictions.

i worked a wage job once for 6 mons to help pay for a friend's rehab. i fantasied i would live like a mountain gorilla when it was over, white knuckling it the last 5 mons 2weeks. i alway thought it was my peur aeternus problem, but now i know it is the worlds problem ha, thanks
