getting people to actually install the shit themselves is a whole other thing, i thought the AI always on copilot shit would get people to switch but if my bluesky linux feed is any indication it's mostly just people complaining about windows and apple and being not to receptive to the suggestion of switching to Linux.

I think you just overestimate how much people prioritize tinkering with an OS in their daily lives... Most people just don't give a shit. Plenty of intelligent people who don't allocate their daily life ticking to such things.

I think people like you underestimate how much fuckery goes on behind the scenes in some OSs.

Again, i dont begrudge anyone using other OSs, but i do dislike it when someone comes into a forum i frequent and complains about win this or apple that (in the linux/bsd section) etc and goes on to ignore a well formed alternative with many offers of help from other community members. So continue to use windows if you must. Heck i use it still myself because "reasons". Everything else is either LMDE or MXLinux.

New Fedora looks interesting, if i can scrape up some dosh for a good vid card for a lappy i may be able to drop win10 altogether.

Alternatives are not requirements. It is offered. Free, it may however cost you some time initially to learn a new paradigm or two. You needed to do this initially when you first got dos or windows 3.11. People are not born with innate knowledge.

It's the perfect storm of modern MMORPGs all being full of cash shop nasties and being able to solo content you may have never seen or not seen since its original release in an interesting twist. paladin rogue + anything is solid AF, paladin and rogue really are enough on their own anything else is a bonus

I've heard rumors of going thru seeds of destruction, no idea how they would handle mecenaries tho hopefully skip them

progression from scratch will be nuts. being level capped until you clear each xpacs bosses will take forever to speedrun
