You really aren't supposed to abrogate bargains made in your official capacity as head of State. Even ones made by the previous guy.

Even Biden's brass is tossing him under the bus right now, trying to save their own asses. We're seeing stories leaked that they warned him repeatedly this would happen. That conditions were not good on the ground and not to do this. He did it anyways. Not only did he ignore their advice, he grounded air support which basically left everyone a sitting duck for the approaching Taliban army.
