dalnir could of had one of the coolest entrances if only the zone in was completely underwater.

dalnir is multi-leveled and it could of been a nice beach like entrance into its second level

some of its corridors even felt kedge like to me.

perhaps this is why its final level has a sewage/swamp like feel to it

maybe it was one of the final zones added to kunark before release, or the first being there is sarnaks at the end with a zone out, and goblins in the front

Dalnir to me on live was massive risk vs too little reward. Granted this may have been a "skill issue" but not everyone in my static 6 man was lame like me.
But I enjoyed making tattered then studded etc leather for my druid and making food/drink. Cultural chain (made by a guildy) was a MASSIVE upgrade for me. Same for the High Elf Wiz.
The - str + int solusek ro rings my static chanter group mate made me allowed EVERYONE ELSE TO LOOT HEAVY ITEMS!
Bastard.

IDK if anyone remembers hot zones, but the way I discovered Dalnir "back in the day" was because it became a hot zone due to how unpopular it was. It's a lot of nostalgia for me because I did travel there with a group of friends and have a lot of fun. It became kind of a regular dungeon for us after that point.

I will say this, I don't think the pathing in original Dalnir was as insane as it is on P99. I had no concept of CC or Lull or anything the first time I went to Dalnir as a kid, and we had relatively high success, even falling through the floor in the Church and still proceeding to grind without any close calls.

Meanwhile on P99 I've gone there with epic twink groups and had them wipe close to entrance even with a level 60 Druid PL'ing us after we managed to somehow aggro the entire zone.

On Tallon zek, dalnir was the spot between OT and COM. Everyone went there 35-42.
