Most people only get jokes the involve physical humor, like slapstick. Jokes that consist in words? Not so much.

I made the mistake of choosing my neurologist based on the fact he absolutely loves the Three Stooges. He fixed what is wrong with me, but now I can't understand why people think Norm McDonald is funny.

I agree. Intelligence and action must be one.

So too with knowledge. People think knowledge is something they possess. I have found, knowledge is an activity, much like music, and knowledge that is not exercised, rehearsed, practiced, and brought out on long walks, quickly grows dim in the mind.
