This is good advice. Although, I would go even further and say speak to a PCP, pulmonologist, or infectious disease specialist actually treating covid patients in the hospital. There's a big difference.

he's right. you don't want to wind up with Hog, MD. i tried him out for major surgery and had to have a coastal elite surgeon go back and fix his work. He probably is a COVID minimizer and you can't trust a word out of his mouth. musculoskeletal guy. yes it was awful. I was in excruciating disablement and nobody would schedule me fast. Just for a case in point.

practicing medical doctors who cant pronounce basic chemistry terms like they never went to school ...they're out there.

And before anyone suggests that the way a healthy lifestyle hurts you vs covid is by lulling you into a false sense of security when it’s really getting the vaccine that would have saved you from the covid death you got…

My response would be that the sense of security is not false when your lifestyle choice pushes your chances of dying statistically drastically even lower

“If you had a bowl of skittles and 0.02% (healthy people who died to covid, a made up percent for the sake of argument) of them killed you, would you still eat them?”

This is a silly argument. No, I wouldn’t. I try to avoid candy sugar, and among candy I hate skittles. Now if the skittles represent responsible medical autonomy (I say responsible not “I want the right to get covid and then go to a concert! Freeeeedom!”), then fuck yeah I would eat the skittles. I would eat the entire bowl until I hit the one that killed me. And die satisfied

You're poisoning the well.

Asking your doctor about nontraditional treatments and therapies doesn't make you a nazi or anything else.

It's ignoring the advice of experts when it doesn't line up with your politics that makes you a fucking moron.

The two are not the same.
