I had something similar happen in the same zone (although I wasn't banned). The GM explained it to me that the basement isn't really a camp, it's actually like 3 different camps or something to that effect. I think if I remember correctly my group had been clearing the basement when a high level magician snuck ahead of us and took the dude at the end who drops Dwarven Work boots. We found out that he could technically do that since it's a separate camp.

This is also why I'm not really a fan of the PNP though. Particularly in a zone like Lower Guk, which is one of the most rich leveling experiences you can have in EQ when your group is allowed to roam around killing numerous named mobs and all of the adds in between. I feel like the zone has a 28 minute respawn timer because that was the intention when it was designed.

And being relegated to only killing 1-3 mobs every 28 minutes doesn't really appeal to anyone other than max level characters looking for an easy AFK farm.

Although I do acknowledge that if there was no PNP in place Lower Guk would likely be a war of high level players running around constantly trying to snipe each other. A true PVP experience, lol.

Although this may not be accurate. When I played on Mischief I noticed that players were way more civil and willing to engage in negotiations since avoiding conflict was usually better than getting trained or KS'd.

Was in unrest killing basement with a group. Some group members didnt like a mage in our group and demanded he/she be kicked. I said "no" and they left group to form their own group to take over basement camp.

They started to kill steal and take mobs. I told my lvl 29 mage groupmate to hold tight and logged in my level 55 mage. This was still our camp, and these thief's were not going to take it from us.

Fast forward and hour later and I get a /tell from Visceryn telling me Im in the wrong and bans me for a week.

So its OK to take over any group in the game, and if the original group complains just report them and a GM will swoop down and ban you.
1. Sounds like you lost the vote to kick. You should've honored that.

2. Even when you are 100% correct and the players are running around screaming the N word and eating babies, you still cannot log onto your main and grief them.

3. If you act retarded when the cops show up, you will look like the guilty party.

4. Keep a cool head the next time, calmly petition and it will go different.

this guy had a huge meltdown in the p99 discord when other players wanted some proof after he said 'dont group with this guy'. 100% he should not be playing this game. i'm not even sure this guy should be on the internet. god bless.

Let me try to explain what happened. You felt that you were wronged and took matters into your own hands instead of trying to handle things the right way. You got punished for being a vigilante.

It really is that simple.

Thank you and have a nice day.

What's the right way? Let someone steamroll over you and ignore the play nice policy?

The OP is literally in the right in every interpretation of the rules.

1) They own the camp and therefore have the ruleset on their side.

2) Logging into another character while your group still owns the camp and hasn't left it, does not break ownership over said camp.

3) It's still their camp, and it's not zone disruption because it's not keeping them from going elsewhere in the zone and farming.

Before you become a guide do they require you to know the rules?

That's going to seem blunt but it's intended to be that way. This is a hamfisted attempt at enforcing something that's neither in good faith nor is it even remotely supported in the rules.

If I was this guy and I had the chance, I'd post the video of you guys not doing your job.

Sorry, but you're held to a higher standard as a guide, and this isn't it.

Absolutely unacceptable.
