Best post on here. My Dad played Dick Dale's version of Riders in the Sky for me when I was about 8 years old, and I immediately understood what "rocks" and what doesn't. Then about 14 years later I see him in concert (which is unbelievable) and tell him, "I've been waiting to hear that song live since I was 8 years old" and he just looks at me for 4-5 seconds not saying anything then says, "You know, that's pretty cool" and then signs my arm. The guy is so cool I am convinced he beat his own rectal cancer out by blowing it out his ass with kickass guitar.

Link Wray is pretty badass too.

I had a chance in the mid 90's to see him in Atlanta at the Fox. Kick myself for not going.
