![]() Sorry for posting another one of these threads.
I'm back after two years overseas and want to get back into P99. I have a rogue I would really like to continue, but at the same time I don't want to spend all day LFG. Does anyone have any guidance on class populations/shortages/oversupply? I figured rogues and monks would be the most heavily played, so I was thinking of going warrior. Advice?

![]() Trying to pick a class based on "what's popular" or "what's not popular" is a fool's errand. Just play whatever class you want, and if you aren't being invited to groups enough start your own.

![]() The key to getting groups is the same principle that, irl, has made me the 3 time national staring contest champion.
Time.

![]() /who all (your level +/-2)
if you see someone in an xp zone you'd like to hit up send them a tell asking them something like if they are grouping and got a spare spot, if there are any other groups in zone or something like that.

![]() Rogues are actually not as represented as much as one would think considering they are top dps with the easiest epic in the game. They do mad deeps.
Warriors are always a great choice!

![]() Underplayed and desired? That is a tough one:/ There are a LOT of clerics, druids, enchanters, monks and shaman. There are very few rangers and paladins, though they are not necessarily all that desired I would think rogue would be good for getting groups. Warriors are terribad unless raiding, though they are nevertheless popular with some folks. I think if you are going for desirability, you should stick with your rogue, or roll a sham, chanter or bard. Even though all three are overplayed, they are not all that often well played. It really isn't that difficult to get a group with any class though, so just play what you like ^^

![]() Rogues are always in high demand by guilds. But yeah, if you try to level one up just by sitting around with LFG on, it's gonna be miserable.
Start your own groups, fill a friends list with people who want to group with you, consider stuff like duoing with a necro or a bard or something, and stuff like that, instead of just waiting for someone else to ask you to join a group.
