Feign death suddenly not working as intended?

For the last few days Ive been noticing some odd behavior with FD.

I've also been having really bad connection issues. Maybe the server thinks I'm a few seconds "behind" when I'm feigning (and thus, much closer to mobs, and/or still in their LoS)

1) I pull a group of mobs of any type (all melee for example)
2) Go around a corner OUT of line of sight
3) Feign death, mobs lose all interest (con indifferent, etc)
4) No spells are landed on me after FD (or its melee that cant cast anyway)
5) I stand up and instantly get aggro again? Even though I'm not in their line of sight as far as my screen shows
