Pick Pocket Mechanics [Trigger Free Zone]

When you pickpocket a mob with money and a non-magic item in their inventory, do you always receive the item first on a successful Pick Pocket? Is it possible to get gold first.

On my dear sweet rogue, it seems that first I get the item, then a large amount of money followed by sequentially lesser sums of coinage.

I've gotten money first and then the shield from guards before I'm 82% sure.

Whether you get an item (if there is one) or coin is random. I can't remember if you'll always get plat before lesser coins, but you'll always steal half of a coin pool. 24 plat, then 12, then 6, etc till the pool hits 1. Can't steal the last piece.

There is a minimum level needed to take platinum [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] My 15 rogue can't get the plat from giants!! I would be so much more richer!!!
