Actually, there were message boards where you could just bitch and moan about random stupid shit. It just wasn't until the advent of the Chan sites (4chan, etc.) that stupid shit and trolling and assholery hit it's zenith.

It's too bad those prima guides kind of sucked. I remember being super pumped to get the Kunark version. I was pissed when it basically turned out to be a glorified product manual.

I had more luck with the alla's / eqatlas binder [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] It sucked not being able to tab out.

Bought the Prima guide for the original, but then realized it was completely stupid to buy a paper manual for a MMO.
