From my research, the classic Stormfeather could be a maximum of 72(ish due to max 3 skips + -1/1) hour camp and Lodizal could be 54(ish due to max 2 skips + -1/1). If there are arguments, post up your research.

Everything here is gtg aside from the boat path.

Thanks folks, moving on.

I don't remember lodi ever skipping, but I didn't camp him that much.

Safehouse agrees but that's 2003. I'm unaware of an explicit change tho.

k

This has Lodizal at 21-24, and then 18-54.

Needs discussion. Lots of things people posted earlier in thread were post-2001.

That Milambus guy seems very sure of what he's saying... however I have some recollection differences.

"Sontatalak, level 63+, 1-3 day spawn, 7 day respawnWestern Wastes"

Sont I'm pretty sure was NOT 7. 3 I think?

This is also late 2001, and he has pre-planes revamp inny/ct/draco levels. I dunno.

I camped Stormfeather a LOT early in Velious. Here is how he worked:

- His spawn timer is 10500 ticks (17.5 hours)
- There is no placeholder, but he can skip spawns. If he skips a spawn, it's the same as if he spawned and was killed instantly. If you kill Stormfeather, the next one will spawn in 17.5 hours, or 35 hours, or 52.5 hours, or 70 hours, etc... depending on how many spawns he skips.
- Chance to skip a spawn was about 50%, maybe a little higher.
- He spawns at the same spot and wanders back and forth across the island.
- He always drops the map piece and sometimes drops the claws.
- Not sure if he had variance or not, if he did it was very small. I would set alarms to check him and they were still very close even after multiple skips.

As for Lodizal, I don't remember the details, but he was much more common than Stormfeather. I killed him a bunch of times just because he was up while I was trying for the second map piece.

Definately this. That's probably why so many people remember him as 36 hours, because he would very frequently skip spawns. However I think he was around ~18 hours with a strong chance to skip.

No way it was 18 hours.
