Shogun 2 was awesome - but got boring fast. Every faction is basically the same (Samurai) who specialize in different things (trade - melee - archery etc). HOWEVER the game itself is absolutely brilliant - not only the combat, but all the music and the atmosphere as well
All of the UI elements are atmospherically designed with caligraphy and done in that classic ancient Japanese art style; as is the music. If they capture THIS level of detail with the different playable factions in total war it'll definitely be GOTY material (since the combat was already there in Shogun 2 - and it's merely been refined, diversified, and optimized) | ||

I'm having a pretty good time with the game even though some aspects are a bit buggy. Anyone interested in doing a co-op campaign?
