Default boxing, is it so bad?

Greetings,

Yes I have read that boxing is bad here and I am not even going to try it. I love grouping and activly seek them out and assemble my own groups if I have time to play.

So why is it so bad to box a druid and necro so I can solo for the two hours a day I can play? It is so much more involving trying to run two dps classes and fear kite with out killing your self. Dual boxing to me, was just all out fun. if you have to solo, might as well keep yourself company [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

With this little complaint aside, I love the community thus far and look forward to leveling my lowly druid (how ever slowly he does level). Any necros out there interested in grouping from 10am-12pm on weekdays?

For whatever reason, boxing is dealt with more harshly than intentionally training and griefing other players. It's on the same level of punishment as hacking the server and duping items.

This is why there's no boxing. In an MMO, you're supposed to ask questions like this.

And seriously, you're bitching because you can't box a necro with your druid? I mean, maybe if you had whined about how slowly your warrior soloed I'd get it, but your druid?

Because with boxing you can get a serious leg up on everyone else who does not box, so it is similar to hacking or cheating. If boxing were allowed everyone would box to stay competitive and it would kill pick up groups.

I could use my druid to PL an alt to level 20 in a day. Why the hell would I group up with noobs then?

Why would anyone group when they could level multiple chars at once without the hassle of trying to find a group?

I am not bitching, just a mild complaint. I understand this is a "private" server and I will respect the rules of the house. I am just stating that I have very limited time to play and would like to spend it killing stuff, not lfg.

I know druids and necros solo very well, but it just seems like so much fun to play em both at the same time [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] that is what I did when eq first came out and would love to recapture the fun of my first real MMO experience.

You don't have to travel far on EQemu to find a server that illustrates what boxing can do to a community.

I mean, I started dual boxing, then 6 boxing, then 11, 12, 13.. got silly. It was nice to form my own groups, raids, but I didn't socialize. Granted it was commonplace to box, but why not play rpg, not a mmorpg then.
