Like I said, no interest in hiding my identity. Fine with a broadcast or a hyphenated name for a week, or whatever.

Edit: Rather have one of those - > would save me some trouble. On live, I think tells to the person went to the old name for a while as well as the new, but that doesn't really clear up seeing someone around w/ a new name I suppose.

I am against being able to change one's name. This would open the floodgates to the douche bags out there who love to grief other players. I can remember on live numerous people who made it on the shit-list for ninja looting and kill stealing etc. They had a tough time grouping after building up this reputation. If people are able to change their names on P99, they can essentially walk away from all of the bad baggage which they had built up.
We all get to choose our names. Choose wisely as you'll be stuck with it. If you chose a name which you dislike, then it's your fault. Either suck it up or re-roll. I know it's harsh but we really can't have people changing names (for the reasons noted above)

If you both think I should reroll my lv. 50 monk with some raid gear, please die =p

I'm sure there's an easy way to do a name-change without it making you anonymous.

That being said, still waiting for an answer to the original question, as to whether they're done or not here. Sounded like Taluvill was saying yes, but that might have been for reporting others' names.

Spose I can just bug the GMs, but figured a player might know and save them the extra hassle.

Wouldn't it be simple enough to post a log of all the name changes?

Pretty much the answer is no based on my experience. I had a petition on file for months to correct a simple misspelling (wanted to add a letter h to the end of my name) on one of my alts. And I doubt you could "bug GMs" anymore than I did.

Reroll that shit if it bothers you that much. That's what I did.
