Rautavaara was a postmodern type Finnish composer. Composition dates to 1959-1960. If you weren't aware: the Nords were the only Europeans to not have their musical tradition systematically extirpated after the war. It, apparently, is heavily referential of Bruckner's 4th. Pretty acclaimed work. Arrived here by a sir breadcrumb. His 7th comes next! | ||
