Because for the hottest 3-4 months the beach is enormously fun. Most other months, we're sitting at 75 while the rest of the country is between 30-50. We have a very short winter. Depending where in Florida you are, you *might* crack 25 degrees in the morning a couple times before warming up to 50-70 in the afternoon. Usually never in central to south Florida. I don't mind sweating because I'm really active. Sweating is part of the deal. However, I did capture some gems from some of our colder days: http://www.imagebam.com/image/fc4322329717259 http://www.imagebam.com/image/98b495329717260 Also, farms of all kinds, some where I can pick fresh strawberries and blueberries by the pound. If I want out of the concrete jungle, I can drive an hour and be in beautiful waters and eat tons of fresh shrimp (although I definitely admit I wish I had access to coldwater seafood the way Maine does). Finally, Ikea in Tampa. Tons of good football. Walt Disney World and its related parks. Disney cruises from two separate ports. I like Disney. | |||
