Just talk to the bard. Most bards I have met would rather be in a group. But when they don't get a group they swarm because its great exp for a class that has a hybrid penalty. If its a PLer just ask them nicely to leave your area alone.

But then you won't be there to type "/ooc QQ" when some random bard noob whines about dying to his kite because he was stunned by a green mob. This is very important, you might say it's even a civic duty. It's the community interaction that makes classic EQ :classic:!
