I don't see an issue with someone afk camping for the paw. If it's on their main character, and it's a legitimate upgrade then just let them have it. Unless of course the mob is up for awhile and they are afk for some reason.

What does annoy me is when the same lvl 50 necro's and chanter alts are squatting at every single named camp in Lguk. You come in with a full exp group; tank, puller, healer, dps, and you want to do a real camp like lord,frenzy, king. But, nope, the same lvl 50's are there passing the camps to their guildies.

THAT is as accurate a recreation of live servers as I've ever seen prekunark. No shit.

AFK camping ... means letting your pet kill something, over and over, while you are afk. This is frowned upon.

AFKing between spawns on a 16 minute camp? Not afk camping..

Sorry to revive this old post, but this issue has came up several times for me lately with players who have not read this post. Can we please get this clarified and adjusted in the "camps defined" post and other areas where server rules are discussed?

Yeah it will thin out, and its going to be awesome...

If i remember correctly, unless you had some bad ass gear and were one of like 2 classes you couldnt solo camps in sebilis, karnors, etc. Mobs would eat you alive.

Really hoping grouping will be revived with kunark!

It will, but old world camps like FBSS, GE boots, etc that are still relevant to a point in kunark will be solo camped by 60's too. The problem will still be there, but not as much I would imagine.

You also have to take into account the population spike when kunark hits. 1500 players a month after release would not surprise me in the least.

The manastone camp was horrid for this. Just getting the camp required you to stay there as long as possible to at least pass it to a guildie.

This is true, but at least there will be alternatives..

As for GE boots, that takes a group anyway... Or a chanter and healer with brass balls.
