Saturday being a holiday weekend, you'd think we would all sit back, drink some brewski's and watch the latest SC2 tournaments no? Some of our less geeky counterparts will be cheering some football, but not Haktek and I - thar be dragons to slay!

Twenty-five or so die-hard raiders wanted nothing more than to own some more Beta mobs. We obliged, to the tune of four quick-as-pie mob slayings.

First we banged out some ST golems for some more Primals (sorry no pics, they die so fast I can't seem to catch them alive).

Next up was our old staple Vindi - sadly he refused to yield another BP. Regardless, he died easily and fast. I barely remember landing a heal he died so fast.

Next up, we decided for a guild 1st kill of that green port-in menace Woushi. His spiked top and 1980's cool-kid vibe momentarily put me back in 2nd grade, but I dove through the nostalgic jealousy and put him down like the punk he is. He went down so easily it felt like we were momentarily back in the Emerald Jungle going cross-eyed trying to stay awake for tracking hour #14.

Another Beta evening....friends from Indignation - check, Velious hungry guild - check, lots of Warriors - check, lots of Rogues and Wizards - oh hell no. Nevertheless, we quickly downed Vindi and got some nice boots for Bob.

Next up was Tormax again, despite our low dps, zero wizards, zero magicians, two rogues, and one necromancer....he died the 2nd run. I'm fairly sure we're the only guild going for repeats on him thus far and it felt hella good to grab a kill with a smaller raid than our 1st run. Not quite farm mode based on the initial hiccup, but very close.

Tormax had some tasty treats on him...we can't wait to get them on live!

We headed to ToV next, but sadly Doz had a bug return that prevented him dying. Despite it being rather trivial to kill him now, he is back on the un-killable list. Shame, we were looking forward to completing some quests tonight.

We played around some a bit in NToV after, but nothing new to report there - just some testing as we get more familiar.

Beta beta beta....oh how we love thee.

Another fine evening and some great performance from our melee push crowd - they're making solid improvements there and it's showing!

Tonight's roster of death included some of our normal culprits (polishing farm mode = $$)...and a new addition!

We immediately headed for NToV tonight, first up was Mr. Venom himself who was kind enough to give us some great legs.

Next up was Eashen, whom we practiced our push on.....needless to say it got pretty impressive as he scooted around. Loot was a decent bracer and mask.

We then relocated to WToV, where we took down Lendinara for the first time. She was surprisingly easy - check out the ST key!

After that fine streak, we went to Kael and punched Vindi in the face. He gave up a bp for Gadwin after we told him we didn't want any more ears. Gnome mafia and such. No picture, since only his boot tip was visible.

Before we close, I wanted to toss in a bit of information about the state of Velious Beta atm. People following updates are probably asking why certain mobs aren't appearing much - so here goes.
- Some mobs are just plain unslowable (or very nearly so) that should be, that would include Zlandicar, Klandicar, and Statue.
- Some mobs have bugged AE's or are just plain way overtuned, that would include Hraashna the Warder and Telk.
- The rest, we just really haven't worked them in yet.
So, why aren't you seeing <insert mob name here>? Because some of those mobs aren't worth beating our head against. All of those unslowable mobs? Well we could kill if we wanted to tweak and tweak and tweak (we've played with all of them) - but why waste our time when there is plenty of other content to test? Anyways, moving on, hope that explains things.

We're always looking for good players, come check us out if you want to be a part of a group of raiders eagerly working on Velious content & downing the normal riff-raff on live. If for some reason you favor zerg /facerolls on live and don't want to work towards Velious on beta, then yea, don't even bother cuz it's not gonna work out.
