I hope Trump wins, so that he can revoke Deferred Action. That way I can go back to not having a social security number, an awesome job, and no longer pay taxes.

Oh, and despite the wishful thinking of some, the president doesn't "run the economy."

So apparently he can't just jump in and start cutting the dead wood as he sees fit? I thought that was a big part of his appeal.

Huh? If you don't understand the difference between the economy and the bureaucracy of the executive branch of government, much of which exists at the pleasure of the chief executive, I really don't know what to tell you. He can direct a budget because he has to sign it, but presidents don't run economies. Never have. Never will. They can hobble economies and they can do things to get out of the way for the opposite effect, but they don't "run" the economy. Apples and oranges.

As to your other post....I've yet to see you post any criticism of trump that couldn't have been said about Obama. Yet he got elected. And re-elected after turning in a complete turd for a first term.

Point being, as of this current president, anything is possible in presidential elections. Don't mistake pointing this out as an endorsement of Trump.

It's not that I don't understand the difference, I'm trying to find out HOW you think Trump will accomplish the things you say he's going to accomplish. You implied he would cut the dead wood and get rid of 50,000 government employees. How? Hell, you watch any of his stump speeches and you can tell he doesn't have the first clue.

Not sure what this debate has to do with Barack Obama, that's just deflection and opinion. I'm not a huge fan, but it's hard to argue that the country he took over 6.5 years ago was in better shape than the one we have now.

OMG I said before it's pure speculation. Which is the point of this thread. It's what I, personally, would love to see him do should he get elected. Nothing more nothing less.

And no, talking about Obama isn't a deflection...It's drawing a parallel. It is a fact that Trump is more eminently qualified to hold public office than the current president was when he campaigned. It is a fact that the vast majority of what Obama campaigned on was complete bullshit in light of what he's actually done in office, as well as most of what he's campaigned on while in office, for that matter. If Barak Obama can get elected president twice, so can Donald Trump. The precedent has been set. Modern American voters are dumb fucks who will fall for anything, apparently.

And no, I don't conceed that the country is better now than when he took office. We had a deep recession that was the result of a credit crisis, but it was just that...A deep one but, in the end, nothing more than the usual periodic adjustment. Except then we didn't have a health care law that is poised to eat everything in it's path. Obama's signature "accomplishment" is the single worst piece of legislation ever passed in the history of this country, certainly in the last 100 years, that will adversely affect more Americans directly and indirectly than any other.

Again, point being, if the socialist stooge who currently holds the office could get elected twice, Trump has no problems if he really wants it, being a capitalist stooge, himself.

I'm not convinced he does, tho. Looks like he's just having some fun running.

By the way, I hear this every four years. Michelle Bachmann, Herman Cain, Ron Paul, Sarah Palin. Who's the last "out of the box" politician to grab the Republican nomination or win the Presidency for that matter? Hell, Palin torpedoed McCain - I was shocked she got anywhere near the ticket. Doubt the R's will make that kind of mistake again, even as the VP.

Fact is, Trump is doomed because the power men/money men of the Republican party won't allow him to be the nominee.
