I mostly only did faydwer stuff + misty, seeing as how this stuff is so goof ball on P99, perhaps live zones were goofy in some areas too.

Item pulling and suiciding are specific to this server - born of an unclassic server wide yellow text message. I can't remember seeing it on live.

The way I remember it is:

Ally vs Ally = No Guard Assist
Ally vs Anything less than Ally = Guards assist the person with highest faction
Warmly vs Anything less than warmly = Guards assist the person with highest faction

etc...

You've worked hard on the battlefield to become a pillar of society, why wouldn't the guards help you?

fyi item pulling & suiciding were HUGE on rallos to prevent losing said items. no killshot, no loot

also, none of this is being disputed currently. highest faction will get the help from guards.

the part that's being disputed is whether or not guards will agro someone just standing there who's not even doing anything to provoke the guards. try to keep up.

Currently a damage shield/riposte would be considered an offensive actions to provoke guards if the person was not fighting back and the attacker had higher faction

Good question, I would think it's based on the actual value say person A = 1050/2500 versus person B = 1200/2500 (arbitrary numbers)

It's just based off of faction level. Warmly is warmly no matter how far you are into it. As for bank banks I would and did see people suicide to avoid item loss on Ralos.

Suicide one way or another was a huge aspect of item loot PVP, for obvious reasons. Who knows / cares how it was on vallon or tallon zek.

Guards should not attack a player who is just being beat up, provided he does not have a damage shield or other offensive automated skill.

Riposte will cause guards to engage if the riposter is the lower faction.
