I think i'm a little off the current subjects but,

They did just prove how the universe was created like 8 months ago ? They are still working on all the fine details. But the telescope images of the past of the universe are pretty convincing. I don't know how they are able to look at the past of the universe, but they did. That is a fact. It's on the Nasa website if you look hard.

Also , Who knows that we have a spirit / soul ? That is just assumptions with no evidence ever. Period. The human brain controls all of our thoughts , emotions etc. If you take a hardcore drug it will change the way you think about things, this just proves your soul doesn't really exist. It is all your brain that does the thinking. You think you have a soul , but it is really just your thought process.

When your brain is gone , You as a person don't exist on any level. Besides a dead body.

If there is a god....... Why does he let People burn little kids to death ???///????///???
Nice god there.... I want to believe that. Religious people say it's because life on earth is a learning experience for all and all have sins.... That's not an excuse for a god to let innocent things be tortured and killed in insanely painful ways. No excuse at all.

I don't want to believe in a god that wouldn't step in and help people.
I mean it is everyone they say, and it knows everything. Well than he gives a damm about people.

Jesus didn't put himself on a cross to pay for the sins of everyone.
The Romans Nailed him up , He didn't ask for it.....

W/e I have family that is religious , and I still love them , Even though religions are the biggest lies ever taught to the masses.

Carry on, But +1 for the No Higher power that created everything.

In an extremely simplified example, it works something like this:

Let's say 2 cars sitting still in the middle of the road is the 'moment'. Those cars begins to drive away down a straight road in opposite directions, if I am still standing where they are parked, and measure the speed they are driving away, I can do the math to figure out how long ago they were at point 0. Even if I have to get a very powerful telescope, as long as I can see the cars, I can do the math to figure out how long ago they were in front of me.
Because this is space, and therefore no earth curvature to obstruct Line of Sight, and no gravity to deflect the path of travel, you just need to find the car.

There is still quite alot of matter in the universe that hasn't coalesced into a celestial body.

Plus : ) , like others have stated.

If there are 10 religions " there are more"

you would have to take 10 divided by 100percent to get the odds of your religion being correct.

Than you have to add in that they all could be wrong , and there also could be no creator / god.

Being intoxicated and having read some of this thread I about laughed my ass off so hard. Trying to be intellegent when it comes to religon/ theory or anything of the conseus. Is a utter joke. Someones faith you can get a math formula for. You can have so many theories facts and proofs. Why is it that despite theory on opinion. Everyone knows its wrong to melest children? Why is it despite me being one years old. I have a funny feeling about being touched in certain areas? Could it be perhaps I am just not touched there often? Or maybe its just not a norm? Theres a thing we are all born with... A conscience. Whether you truly belive that is derived from how you are raised or some other bazar scientific theory is up to you. It just amazes me then how many are brainwashed in this world to have similar views like the ones I have stated. I bet if you took a poll across the world if raping 3 year olds is ok. You would have a higher poll number of No's then yes's. I know I know this is what we were taught to believe what was wrong and over the ages it became the norm.... But for you smart people when will that norm change and become a minority??? For me God exsist , his power shows in so much in the world. You call it science I call it god. Hes everywhere. When it comes down to it though you are the dictator of your own conscience... He is however listening and their to help you at times. I pray for people like you I really do. I think you would find a better enjoyment in life having you accepted God. Then again this is just me.

If you believe in a deity, any deity at all. Why would you think that this deity would create all these rules about the nature of the universe and then just for the hell of it break the rule in order to magic humans into existence? It's never made sense to me why certain believers can't grasp the concept of evolution being part of god's plan.

If you believe something can not be created or destroyed its pretty logical that it has always been.

It's pointless, man. Any attempt to impart even basic scientific principle is met with the internet equivalent of " *sticks fingers in ears* Nuh-uh! Nuh-uh! Lalalalala I CAN'T HEAR YOU! Lalalala" and "You weren't there, you can't know that it's always been like that" despite overwhelming evidence that points it to be the case.

Like I said before:

The law of conservation of energy (the First Law of Thermodynamics) is an empirical law of physics. It states that the total amount of energy in an isolated system remains constant over time (is said to be conserved over time). A consequence of this law is that energy can neither be created or destroyed: it can only be transformed from one state to another. The only thing that can happen to energy in a closed system is that it can change form: for instance chemical energy can become kinetic energy.

Prove that the Universe is a closed system. You cannot. No one can. Many have theories, but no proof, and most believe that is an Open System. So Mr. science guy, the law of conservation of energy cannot apply to the Universe which means matter CAN be created and destroyed with the Universe. I ask again...how did that matter come to being. Answer - GOD!

Where is my "I can't hear you" in that? Thought so. You may have to go beyond your eight grade scientific knowledge base to find a rebuttal, and I am not sure Wiki can help...lmao.
