Hey there- I just started a couple of weeks ago as well.

I made a ton of money as a noob doing a few things:

Vendoring for players killing guards. They offered me 30% for selling for them. Great!

Crushbone belts: I sold probably 150 of them for 2-3pp ea.

Bonechips: if you're in an area for lots of skeletons, bonechips go for 10pp a stack.

I've never begged, but players are usually very friendly and donate to people who are new. P99 is the most friendly iteration of any MMO I've played- and I played live and WoW as well.

Good luck!

Those are great ways for new players to make some plat! I hear Velious doesn't have many bone chips to offer, and SK/necro reserves are running low.

And I agree, it's a very friendly server (in most zones).

Welcome, battle-cleric Borian!

Not that much of a market for bone chips on Faydwer as there are few SK's and Necros there.
Not too many folks roll a Gnome SK, maybe a few more might nake a Gnome Necro but even then they probably go to Antonica as soon as they can.
Take your stash of bone chips to the EC tunnel and you should have some luck!
