but yes i agree the current oppositions attitude is ONE of the issues of the servers state

Couldn't agree more.

Wins PvP over mobs for the 1st time in their history: pushes timer so far out of peak time that when they log in to kill said mobs they are 60-80% of server pop.

Yerp opposition really looking 2 help progress server.

Naw pushing timers on mobs to give yourself an advantage isnt really what i meant, its tactical and smart IF your guild can constantly sustain a raid force at that time to down it. It takes 15 players to kill dracolich and even less for the golems.
Behavior that is really killing the server is the #1 guild is fielding 50+% of the level 60 population while another issue is that there isnt another guild that is even attempting to grow and progress and/or even attempting to kill things in NTOV with a dedicated effort. Shit was left up for weeks, Friends isnt a raiding guild but if anyone on the opposition is complaning about not getting raid mobs ( casual scum included) then look in the mirror and put some work in because its certainly possible. Ikatar can pretty much be killed with 20 people maybe less. Dain can be done by 40

No one denying that other games suck even more, thats why some of us are still here, lol. There will never be another good MMO created, most of us know that . They don't make any money.

Pay-to-win, or super ultra care-bear worlds with instances like you said. The future is bleak for MMOs.

We could make this server fun, and actually create some sort of challenge, but people not really interested in that.

1. Guild cap at 45 members in a zone at one time , or adjacent connecting zones. Banhammer for any guilds that try to use un tagged members to rule lawyer numbers.

Keeps pvp and PVE more challenging. Put aside your hate, even colgate knows this is the way to go. Now that he is BIS gear he probably even agrees more !

3. Blue/red Xfers allowed, who cares about some idiot making 5 dollars a week on this game.

4. Actual set of rules, posted, set in stone, bans handed out by the active GMs that witness events. Replace sirken with someone who has actually played on an everquest pvp server. Nice guy and all but its too easy to "lobby" him.

5. Increase raid LNS timer to 4 hours.

6. GM rezs for anyone below 25, anyone cought trying to exploit GM time, by chain dieing/ rezing a character to train with gets all accounts banned.

7. Get caught lying to a GM you get banned, every account on your emu.


8. Forum accounts with posting privileges linked to in game characters above level 50, everyone else is only allowed to post in the trading/guild forums eliminates all trolling for fear of in game ban.

9. Tripple exp on Monday and Friday for anyone below level 25, more low level GM events advertised on Blue server and other websites. Plenty of things you can do to motivate people to play. It's a proven model on the pay to win games.

Basically its all the same, you need a handful of GMs that just like the game, don't have some weird problem with authority and work for free.

Above ideas are just a few, I don't personally like every single one, but I know how to create a better atmosphere for casuals, without destroying the game for more hardcore gamers.
I like some of the suggestions in your post. Actually most of them minus the ones that mean a GM would have to log time on this game like it was a career because that is going to be very hard for a volunteer to commit to long term. Thank you for putting some thought and posting a constructive post instead of just trolling.

Pushing timers is a legitimate tactic. It forces the other guild i.e. Empire to field a force during off hours which is the same it seems that Empire is doing during primetime US hours. Since their opposition plays during Euro primetime it seems. I am not taking sides on this because both sides griefed the hell out of my guild while we were building on the server. At the same time I don't blame either guild beyond stating the obvious.

Eliminate YT and pvp board pop will go up. people will stop hugging ZLs and battle because there wont be the kdr thing over their heads. the server does not work because everquest requires full time GMs. In this case, probably around 4-6 GMs to ease the work load.

Everything else is just a waste of time to think about until there is server support.
I think Barcode is right about this. It would be great to see an active GM presence. It is probably the only thing that could improve the culture of the server, too.

Also, <Friends> is not "the opposition." The guild does not exist to oppose <Empire>. It's just for friends to have fun playing Everquest and PvPing. We kill raid mobs when we have enough online to take down a mob that's up.
