I wasn't tryin to be rude or anything. Or act more smart than I am either. Was just saying that only EQ disconnects. I know very little of wireless connections and games and why they do the things they do. I do appreciate the help everyone has givin me thus far. I at least can run the game and in my other thread it was said that it was doubtful I could even run the game due to my outdated graphics card. But I got past that and now only dealing with DC's so I'm making progress thanks to everyones help. does anyone know of any good wifi connection optimizer programs or stablizers?

sorry for the misunderstanding then ...

it realy depends, if its a wifi strength issue it mostly can not be solved via software ... there are some wifi sticks that can regulate the power they send / receive with via software, but if the stick / wifi connection point does not support that, you can only add additional hardware (a repeater) or move the devices closer together / remove obstacles in between ...

you can also try switching the channel (usualy routers have a setting to switch channels), because if you have more wifi networks in your neighborhood that operate on the same channel as yours, they can effect the quality of your wifi ...

metal obviously is a huge interference factor, but power sources that are not well isolated could also influence the quality of your wifi ... where we get back to my original questions ... where is the router located, how far is your laptop / pc away from it, and whats in between ...

also make sure you have the wifi antennas striaght up for highest reception ...

| = good direction, / \ - = not good directions for your antennas

To be completely honest, I'm not sure where my manager of the apt has the router set up at. I have my antanna sitting in my window. Figure better reception through glass. It wasn't straight up though. I'm doing that after this reply to see if it helps any. I have low signal. Sometimes iI'll get good signal but rarely. I have a comcast DVR box, not sure if that provides internet or not. Going to mess with it later and see. Would buying a new wifi adapter help any? Thanks for your time.

Your entire apartment complex uses the same wifi?
The amount of porn an entire complex of people can download is staggering.
Most likely everyone else is using up the 'free' bandwidth.

I'd buy your own, private internet connection from your phone or cable company.
