![]() I put one point in each skill and no more. I prefer hoarding my points.
There isn't a practical purpose for points, though, so as long as you put at least one point in each thing, dumping the remainder whenever suits your fancy will be fine.

![]() A point in Sense Heading. Whenever you get a new skill, a point in that when you level. Then I'd recommend saving yourself some trouble and putting the rest into Mend. Disarm is a good idea too if you have patience with skilling up Mend on your own.

![]() I think my mend maxed out on its own by ~30. And my disarm maxed out in my mid to late 50s. It's fine if disarm doesn't max out until you're very high level since you pretty much never rely on it to actually disarm (it doesn't work frequently enough for that). I use it often, but usually just for aggro-generating purposes.
