also,

resists should not affect the duration of dots, or how much damage they do... they never did, it only affects if you land the spell or not

Keep this thread on task bros -- less bickering about what you want to see changed, more beta testing of P99 PvP mechanics.

Rexx's preliminary findings are a good start, and sounds pretty fucking important. Need moar posts like that.










p.s.

There should be no z-axis check on melee -- lest we forget about classic, melees will get dumped on until people get monsoons, haste items, etc. And from what I've read, melee damage is already subpar.

Instituting Z-axis check on melee during classic = a server of all mages (+ 1 cleric to heal), chain-casting lev rings and lavabolting people to shit. No es bueno.

I've played against virtually every mmorpg PvP guild that's existed before, Darkenbane, Covetous Crew, SiN, Hate, Conquest DAoC, Afterlife DAoC, etc, and Heresy was definitely the lowliest of the low.

Darkenbane brings 2 people to attack singe players. Heresy brings 6. Conquest and Afterlife zerg, Heresy recruits until their number is at least 20% higher than anyone else's zerg. Mippo is an annoying forum poster, all of Heresy are annoying forum posters.

This guild is the main cause of the race to the bottom effect on TZVZ and why it failed. If this p1999 server is to succeed, either Heresy has to be kept off or griefed off the server as soon as possible.
