SK is pretty sweet even though the option wasn't listed. Can solo some decent content and won't have as much downtime if you swap that Fungi over.
Can tank, FD (sooooo nice for those AFKs and sticky situations), pull, and can rampage tank on raids. Downside is won't be that different than monk except you can cast spells and not do as much damage (but your epic is crazy hard / expensive). I guess I always just liked and admired SKs.

If you want to mostly group: bard
If you want to mostly solo: enchanter If you don't know: enchanter Bards can absolutely solo, but pulling for 15 minutes and then running in circles for another 15 minutes over and over again is about the most mind numbing experience I've ever partaken in. Bards are however a blast to play in groups if you're the type of person who likes being busy and enjoys finding little ways ti maximize your play. I played a bard first, so my take on chanters is that they're very similar to bards, but the things they share in common are way easier on a chanter. Want to haste on a bard? That is one less mez you can perform. Chanters just cast haste and its gtg. Mezsing on bards requires you to get good at targeting to cycle through mobs (cant rely on tab, especially in dungeons), but on a chanter you can just toss out AE mez and you're golden for 24 seconds. I found bards more challenging and more fun in groups, but enchanter gives you more options in terms of play style. A bard really needs a trio or more for a solid group, but a chanter can team up with just about any caster or priest and make it work.

I remember looking at him, a late 20s something dude in his parent's home, hunched over the box, yammering about running in circles for hours on end, and the metaphor just became way too fucking real.

Sure a bard can't charm a pet, throw 60% haste on it, give it some weapons and let it annihilate 5 mobs in 30 seconds like an Enchanter, but for xping bard charm is nice.

Voted enchanter, was so much fun to play as an alt while leveling my main OG warrior, which was like the least fun thing to do until level 52.
Although I would now say that a properly twinked monk/sham would be great

After playing Necro and Shaman to 50+, most melees were not interesting to me. I like to press buttons and have little downtime.
Thus I created a bard and realized that it is fun as balls. And no xp penalty now, so slightly less carpal tunnel. P.S. Macros ruin all the barding fun. The RMI is a badge of honor that makes your cock/tits swell up with pride

The first time I swarm kited 10+ orcs in Oasis I was stuck on bard. And here I thought it was going to be a grind to get to dual wield level! Not to mention your best newbie melee weapon, Sionachie's Partisan, is only 50-100pp. You don't even have to cash in that fungi!
