My question is still not answered really...would YOU pay GUAVA after this situation had transpired if you did NOT have an explicit and concrete agreement or contract with this person, it was more of a tentative reward for doing some swarms, there was no actual value set.

This type of elf lawyering belongs on blue. It boils down to simple elf justice...he KSed you. Any 'payments' he had coming are now null & void.
