There is this awesome movie about how one of the paintings went to an original owner, in case you have not seen it yet.

Also as a side note , there was a briefly documented paper trail during the Panama Papers scandal where one painting, probably a Klimt, was finally traced to the real owner that had kept it buried under several paper companies.

Lots of these paintings have amazing background stories.

to be fair, if the choice was between blowing money on art, shoes, leg waxing, and booz or playing on p99 for endless hours, I would choose option a

I like those and IPAs as well. If you're in Texas and especially austin, try 512's Pecan Porter. It's overpriced but pretty good, a favorite of mine.

God bless
I've had that, it's pretty decent you're right. Some of my favorites are Ogden's Double Chocolate Stout, Dragon's Milk

IPAs are for peasants. The only proper gentleman's choice of carbonated libation are Belgian ales. Chimay and Duvel should be your beginner choices at the very least.
Chimay is also usually $10 per bottle, but very tasty

I just drank a rare, siq stout. But I dunno how to post an image of it versus an imgur link, on account of being mentally retarded.

I do not procure my renditions from Wayfair. And, you're more than my friend, you're my inspiration...

Despite their ungratefulness, here is another glimpse into the life you and I appreciate daily

- a sample I am preparing for your arrival -

Atlantic Sea Urchin served beneath a generous helping of a trifecta of Siberian, Belgian, and Classic Oscietra caviar, topped with a strained, raw qual egg.

All paired with a free-pour of very rich (in both taste and expense) Anejo.

A buddy of mine designed that beer when he worked at 512. He now works up at Loowit Brewing in Vancouver, WA.

Jester King Brewing out of Austin makes some pretty rad beer as well. It's nice to see some parts of Texas contributing to society, finally. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Barrel aging is where it's at!

I do see a lot of misdirection here though. Beer is supposed to be accessible, just like any other beverage with complex personality. If you approach it from the perspective of enjoying the sensory experience, like wine, you may be delighted (or disgusted!).

I can describe a beer, cider or wine to you all day, but why? Instead let your senses dictate what you like (or dislike) about a beverage. Elitism has no place around something crafted by talented and passionate people. If you like that sort of thing, by all means wait in line for Russian River's Pliny the Younger. Yeah, it is damn good, but let's not get carried away.

On the other side, don't let asshole companies like AB/InBev play on your dislike of the latest beer trend in order to sell you more beer made from the cheapest materials available. Those assholes attempt to get consumers to shun the craft industry by playing on their confusion over beer trends and complex flavors while at the same time buying up some of the more popular soon-to-not-be-craft breweries in order to cut off competition.

It is a smart business tactic, and they obviously have the money to pull it off globally. But, it is not so good for the industry (and neither is their buying up of hop farms in smaller markets such as South Africa).

The consumer wants to be recognized as someone who appreciates a damn fine beer these days. Tap takeovers, release events, tastings, etc are all the rage because craft beverage (especially beer at this time) is accessible and fun. "Rare" beers are fun, and appreciated by your beer-loving pals when you bust it out.

Anyways, raise a glass/can/bottle of your Treehouse (heard of them, I think, and probably have had something by them), Russian River Brewing, or Brasserie-Brouwerij Cantillon, make your toast, and have a deep fucking drink.

You are in beverage country, bitches.
