RoZ vs r99

Hipponipple would of had a hell of a hard time leveling up on red99. He died close to 20 times on each character before he hit 50. But he seems to enjoy mindlessly grinding and dying all over so maybe it wouldnt of changed a thing.

I think my first death was at level 46 when I got nuked with ice comet. Red99 is the toughest PvE for sure though. You have to pretend to not box and the population is shit. It takes a real genius to navigate it.

With velious coming out - RoZ is going to be like red but with shitty code, boxing, and 3/4th of the server as a zerg. With the sudden push through patches given last minute over discord and lack of website updates leading to a dwindling population outside of the active core, it's not looking too good for the future of RoZ.

Yeah I don't know why people on here (well 2 people) want RoZ to do poorly. It is the only shot eq pvp servers have to keep some sort of community interested. If Red99 ever did make a new server RoZ being successful would help the next Red99 box.

Not that this will ever happen but RoZ getting over 100-120 chars logged in every night is still a good thing. It is declining though, it was around 150 per night not too long ago.

Well I don't know if anyone is trying to say it is better than Red99 was as far a population or your classic eq experience. I personally like it enough to log in right now. I'm not a fan of Velious so I hope it goes through Velious quick to the next expansion. As far as server rules go I enjoy the item loot over any differences I am missing with Red99.

I know lots (like 2) people that don't play RoZ because it's the same-shit-different-day. Has nothing to do with the quality of the box and more the quality of the people.

Why invest time into a server when some bad breathed mouth breather living in his parents house is going to dominate simply because of his 10x time commitment.

Mouth breathers ruin it for everyone. See dead99 as an example.
