Ok this is simple.

Even though you never touched Target A you are still on its hate list because your pet attacked it. ( albeit prolly very low like 1 point of hate)

You attack target B and Target A comes running at you, WTF?? right? Normally if you attack another target, target A wouldnt give a crap, he has his hands full with your pet.

The problem is the spell you used. Vampiric curse is a leach spell, It Damages the target and HEALS you for that damage. Target A is pissed at you because you healed yourself. The healing portion of the leach line of spells for necro's cause nearly as much agro as the enchanter rune line of spells. Even tho you have not been healed yet ( as it heals over time) Target A values the hate from the entire heal of the spell and applies it right away ( thats just the way it is, its always been that way, its classic ). That agro pushed you past your pet on the hate list, which causes the mob to come after you... if you run off a bit and let your pet get some more hts in, it will turn back to your pet.

Just to test it out, send your pet at another mob, dont touch it, find another mob and pull with snare, your first target wont come after you... cause he doesnt care about you snareing target B... but he will care if you use target B to lifetap.. or leach heal yourself.
