We never started core to be a 24/7 guild, it just happened so we needed to make some changes to look after the best of the members. With the latest changes to tov growing slow wasn't an option anymore so a merger to give the majority of the members the opportunity to raid 24/7 was only logical.
Trying to lead a 24/7 guild at the same time as you needed to focus on RL would just be crazy.
A few members asked to take over the leadership of the guild after the merger and we went with it.
We started core with giving everyone a guild officer status so there was never a group that wanted to decide for everyone, but as the guild grew we had to change.
Let's hope this works out and we continue to have a good relationship with the other guilds on the server.
