yep, a Small Round Shield is all you need. just fast swap and Bash for interrupts.
I am guessing you are a Wood Elf Warrior with that name. I restarted my 41 warrior for a Troll cause I couldn't wait for level 55 and stunning kicks. Swap & Bash just sucks hard balls. And a warrior that can't stun is useless, that's like one of the only two or three things we can do ^^; If you are perma-grouping that might be slightly less of an issue I guess. But my warrior was for solo, cause that's what warriors are for right? 8)

I wish people would forget that the WESS even existed.

There really isn’t a good dps upgrade for the money over a Staff of Battle. It’s half the price of one Jade Mace. An exquisite 2h is 5.6% better in ratio for 15x more plat.
If on a strict budget SoB is great for solo and non-aggro dps all the way to 60. Frostbringer and Ykeshan War Club both proc at 40 and are tons of aggro now that items like the WESS are normalized. Those three weapons will cost you about 2.2k.

It's not. The ratio is mediocre. It has a blind effect which can cause mobs to run off. Procs at lower levels are next to useless because you typically don't have maxed out dex and mobs die too fast to make it worthwhile.
When you start needing procs you have other options available to you that are superior and much cheaper. Also, the proc on it is only 400 hate now. Using a WESS on a 50+ warrior is a giant newbie flag.

I haven't done any parses, but I'm guessing without spending obscene amounts of plat (or raid drops), you're not going to beat it with any duel wield options from level 20 onward. Reaver is the first serious upgrade but only hits non-magical mobs. Nardani's is also a great upgrade but is 55+.

Warriors are used to carrying around tons of gear. I think my little twink has like 12 weapons on him right now. For pure dps or duo/trio work with a sham the Staff of Battle/Reaver/Narandi combo is very hard to beat. Sure your dual-wield skill goes up in the high levels and quads are fun but ripostes on geos and similar mobs are painful. If you can control aggro a slow 2h is the way to go. Plus, the crips for 380+ get announced to anyone nearby [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Another nice perk of a SoB is its a great way to keep 2hb maxed. Never know when you are gonna pick up a Truncheon of Doom or a raid 2hb.
