It's really no more confusing than people's addiction to MMOGs in general. Many a nerd has had to delete their characters permanently, in order to be able to extract themselves from their MMOG addiction.

This forum about EverCrack is actually in some ways more addictive than the actual stuff, at least judging by the number of people who've stopped playing but still post here. In the same vein, they need to "delete their characters" to go "cold turkey" and quit this forum.
