Based upon Erati's post, it appears both the clip plane lock and dynamic lighting are still stuck on stupid. Three plus months now without playing here and while the urge has crept up now and then, there are nicer looking games to play. I can understand keeping these aspects locked on Green (and what was Teal), but to keep them on Blue when Blue is apparently the ~broken~ server is shoddy.
Oh well, no big loss for me.

Its almost unplayable in HK for me. It looks terrible, and laggy.

Have you tried turning down your gamma setting in-game to 0% when in HK? can turn up a tiny bit if that makes things too dark.

Couldn't play the game for a month because of the dynlight hack. Just bought a shiny new 9th gen Intel laptop with 32 GB of RAM so I could play it again. It was unplayable on my old laptop from 2014, 4th gen Intel CPU + AMD dGPU.
It's obnoxious that you have to upgrade your hardware in 2020 in order to play a game from 1999, because of the dynlight client hack that was done with the best intentions but obviously glitchy execution. The game is smooth again (you bet), although it's still unbearably bright in places with a lot of people around. For the love of God, please fix it or allow us to turn it off (best!). PS: even on a i7-9750H CPU, the fans rev up to high speed as soon as the character screen appears. Jesus almighty, do something.

Can we please get an update for this? @BlankDiploma Haven't played P99 in month because of forced dynlights and probably just going to quit alltogether soonish (yes I know nobody cares and no you can't have my stuff).
