Rogue is maximum chill in a group setting, but you almost can't solo.

However, in a group, your normal duties can't be f*cked up so bad that you wipe the group, unlike tank/healer/puller/cc/pet classes' potential to wipe group if not paying enough attention. Noone ever asks you to tank, almost noone ever asks you to pull, and noone gets upset with you if you just Sneak/Hide as a bad pull or train comes through and you watch in safety while everyone scatters and dies.

Also Rogue is possibly the only 100% safe instant-afk-anytime class (never played much Monk/Necro/SK, maybe feign death is 100% safe too??) . Which makes your domestic life much more chill if you'd otherwise have to convince your spouse that they need to wait 5-15 minutes for you to get somewhere safe to afk.

Cleric is super chill in groups... tab in, CH tank, tab out, wait 5 minutes, tab in. Easy peasy.

In terms of APM/keypresses, it's hard to beat a Mage. While grouping you can get away with just pressing your /pet attack macro every mob and throwing in a nuke every now and then. And soloing is not too much more involved. A Rogue has to do considerably more work positioning for every mob and staying in melee range. That's not a concern for the Mage, the pet does all the heavy lifting. Just not a lot of keypressing required here. A very chill class to play.

Wizard is obviously a contender. But played well, a grouping Wizard will actually be relatively active and focused on CC through root and stun nukes. And when solo quadding is pretty easy once you get the hang of it, but does require a lot of attention if you don't want to fuck it up. They are probably the absolute best class for chill raiding, however.

Clerics are more chill than most classes, but if you get too chill on a Cleric you WILL have your tank die on you while you aren't paying attention and possibly wipe your group. It's just a matter of time. Would not recommend Cleric if most chill is your absolute #1 priority, but it's probably the best combination of a chill class that is also very desired for both groups and raids.

Rogue is by far the most chill melee class. You have to position yourself for mobs and occasionally drag corpses, but that's about it. You will almost never be asked to pull, which is the least chill thing to do in the game.

Classes for the chill player to avoid like the Plague: Bard, Monk, Enchanter, Shaman.

Everything else is somewhere in between depending on the situation.

On live I mained Rogue during classic til SoL, and I remember pulling a lot. I guess it was because sneak pulling was a thing on live?

For green, I guess you don't want to get an aggro head start on the tank since there's no evade, but most groups I'm in have the tank pulling, which seems strictly worse (slower pulls, therefore slower exps).

Anything with FD is super chill, as someone above said. It's just teh absolute win for someone who has a life beside EQ.

However - if you play monk, note that every single pickup group will expect you to pull and do all the work while they afk on pornhub and press /pet attack once a minute. It takes a lot of social engineering to dodge pulling duties as a monk. Usually you still end up pulling.

The burden of expectation is an interesting one.

Like, I've been in groups pulling/tanking with a couple of twinked rogues, a class that gets a bonus to AC from agi and better defence caps than rangers - a class that takes hits better than a ranger.

When I needed to take a 5 min afk I asked them to keep pulling/killing to keep on top of spawns, something easily within the group's capabilities.

Of course, when I got back (within the time notified) everyone was sitting in camp doing nothing and complained that they got no xp in my absence.

Even though the rogues were perfectly capable of fighting a couple of mobs with the support of the rest of the group, such a behaviour would be outside the normal paradigm so they were able to get away with doing nothing - and instead placing the blame one me.

This is why in the other thread about simplest class to play I suggested wizard. Although it can be surprisingly proficient, most people expect them to be nothing more than a nuke capacitor: charging up to full (while afk for 15 mins) then dumping mana in one foul swoop.
