These are both just features of classic (fortunately or unfortunately depending on your pov). DoT damage isn't displayed in the chat, and you can't see your exact mana on green, just what percentage of full you have
Ok, fair enough. i really appreciate the response.

Since you are new and low level, I suggest you create one Necro also on Blue server. It is a little less populated, so you may feel lonely at low levels and have hard time to find groups (again at lower levels) but there are several benefits:

- UI - you can load different UI's like DUXA UI, (see forum post about it, to DL it, to load it...) you will see exact percentage of HP, MANA, XP... Very nice when you kill something and you see XP goes up 3%

- You will have Pet window for better controlling your pet

- Popular camps are less populated and you easier get some item or farm cash

- Gear, weapons are generally lower price than on green

But, like I said, less populated, and if you group a lot, you may not like it. But what you have to lose, beside some time, give it a try, you can have toons on both servers and even play them at the same time [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Also, if you are not 'classic purist' [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] check out forum with nParse, you get sor of ingame maps, so you can easier move around. I got lost countless times as beginner before I start using it.

Thanks, I am on Blue actually.

I'll try and install a better UI per your suggestion, thanks a lot. I'm not that computer savvy but i'll see if I can figure it out.

Well in this case, there is no reason not to check it out :-)

You can download it from here:

https://mega.nz/file/ogQX3K7R#rp1949...5gCQThpv6vwmtw

Didn't try it, but DL link is from a moderator:
https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...&postcount=801

Here is forum thread, about it:

https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...98#post3068098

Install is as simple as possible, locate your game folder on your computer and inside it, there should be "uifiles" folder. Unzip downloaded files and copy them into that: uifiles folder.

"- extract the folder to your p99 ui directory. like c:\project1999\uifiles\ or where ever your install is."

Then, to load it, run the game and then type:

/loadskin duxaui

If you want to go back to original skin, type:

/loadskin default 1

If you download some other popular ones (from link I gave you in previous post), their commands are:
/loadskin rustle2
/loadskin qquicasters
/loadskin velious

I'm running game in Linux and I'm having some kind errors with most of them, but DUXA UI.

If you are on Windows, there is installer for nParser, so it shouldn't be that hard. Worth trying.

And: welcome to p1999 EQ game. I hope you have a blast. If you say your in game name, someone may find you and give you some starting platina

Here is fairly recenty created skin, you can see how it looks like: rustle ui

Here is customized for casters, melee...

P.s.
Ahh, and my apology about 'New' and welcome to the game, your first post was long time ago :-)

Thank you so much for everything, so helpful.

I'm not new to Everquest, but I'm so rusty I might as well be. I did try P99 a long while back and like an idiot forgot my login PW and tried to reset it a few days ago and then realized I never gave an SMS so I'm starting over. I just play on messing around a bit I don't have time to play a lot right now.

Even back in the day anyone whop knew me knew how much of an idiot I was with anything computer related. LOL. Guildmates would have to walk me through everything ....
