It is EXTREMELY hard to find low level groups as the vast majority of the server population has raiding level characters. It seems that around level 20, the solo classes tend to go solo, leaving the group support folks to a more challenging path of finding a group or being PLed by a friend.

Perhaps there is no desire to increase the population? I am not familiar with the server capacity or vision...

One thing I have noticed is that there are very few server crashes as opposed "Classic" Everquest, very happy someone decided to make that less original :-)

If you're level 20 the best way to find groups is to:

/who all 18 22

and pick the most populated zone. Send a tell to somebody in one of the zones you want to check out and say something along the lines of "Good afternoon. I'm a level 20 'insert class here' currently in 'insert current zone' and would like to group with others. Does your group have room for one more?"

It isn't a guarantee that you'll find a group but try and try again. Pick up groups exist. When you find good people just add them to your friends list. Enjoy the journey to 60; don't be in a rush to get there.

It takes about 20 seconds to power level a noob from 1-30 with the help of a basic level 50 druid power level.

Game is mega easy. If your friends don't want to actually play the god damn game then they aren't going to play it. Level 60 is the end of the game, when the game stops being fun and becomes a job. Level 1-59 is what the game is about.

I would request negative EXP bonus so level 1-40 is -2000 percent and level 40-60 is normal exp so we get more people enjoying the game killing orcs and less people complaining about poopsock platpharm camps.

Seriously there is nothing to "catch up" to. You're literally 22 years behind. 100% of the joy of this game is finding out how to play it and learning the dangers..not just becoming max level and steam rolling 95% of the old world content and showing up to raids.

I agree, and I played for years from the day EQ launched. There was nobody to PL me or twink me as I was the first to 50 for my class.

I will challenge you to a test to see if you are accurate, you PL (1) character of mine from level 1 to 30, or level 23 to 40(my preference but up to you), and I will make a donation to Project 1999. I realize the potential to embellish(speak figuratively) when posting, and to remove all class race factors that may have been figured in; I will give you 10 minutes as opposed to 20 seconds.

It will start at $100 if you can do it in 10 minutes, and reduce it by $5 a minute at 10 minutes or beyond, and increase by $5 a level for every additional level achieved within 1 hour.

I would like to learn how to do it to help others level up that do not have high level alts to support them.

All of this is assuming it is not against the rules to make a donation to Project 1999 such as this.

Sorry bud I would PL you but I don't play on green and I sold my blue druid back when red came out and account selling (for game currency) was still allowed.

If you come to red I can PL you with Gustoo but I'm not the fastest because 1 a cleric and 2 I don't PL much. But I'll be pretty quick.

But also, go fuck yourself with your snarky post in response to my obvious exaggeration.

Grats on first to 50 in your class on live. What class were you in olden days and what did you put your stats into?

I am so naive that I actually believed you had some sort of perfected PLing!

I was not trying to be snarky, it was an effort to admit that I may have done the same thing to emphasize a point.

I was referencing when EQ originally launched 20ish years ago. I also hunted Quillemane for players, but never accepted a tip even...enjoyed helping folks!

I was already thinking about making the donation, and got my brain engaged in too much innovation and here we are...

Friends that you invite to play the game, are those friends you played with 20 years ago.

I was invited to play by a friend that played 20 years ago with me.

All of my friend's characters are higher level and require a great deal of catching up to group with them.
