My new social conservative stance is that the internet, is the modern version of rock music.

It's not anything more than that and the damage the internet does on society, rock music also did on society before it.

Man, everyone and their mother is commenting on that Starbucks Barista cry video on YouTube, and I just don’t get it

It’s clearly just a service sector noobie. Anyone who’s worked in the service sector for long enough knows that a customer’s opinion doesn’t mean jackkkk shit to them. When a business is slammed, and you are a customer complaining and giving the staff the stink eye about the shitty service, and they stare right through you like a robot…THAT is someone who’s worked in the service industry for a while

You just go through the motions. You don’t rush any more than you are comfortable with, if the customer doesn’t like it they can fuckin leave. You can say sorry for the wait to be polite, you don’t need to beg for forgiveness from any customer

I would say this is because this person is having a hormone problem, but “he” is dosing test! Time to up your dose, brogon. Testosterone is like violence, if it doesn’t solve all your problems then you’re not using enough of it

The White House never recognized Rock Music fact-checking it.

The Beetles were a controversial band, though.

Mandatory drug testing in the service industry just isn't enough.

If the topic is should we give people monetary incentives to take care of their health? Abso-freaking-lutely

Positive reinforcement tends to produce better results = you keep certain health markers, we give you tax rebates or cheaper health insurance

The cost of obesity is staggering, the incentives would pay for itself
What markers?

How would you enforce it in a situation where health insurance is already free for the individual? There are employers around here mostly in meat production that cover 100% of the cost for the employee, even copays and stuff. More for family members if they get them coverage too, but assume someone's single for argument's sake.

Additionally, what if there was a hypothetical public option or healthcare was just mostly free like in some countries? How would it be enforced?

VO2max seems to be a pretty good indicator of health

It’s the poor people who would qualify for Medicaid that typically have the worst makers, especially those living round the Bible Belt

It would have to be some other $$ incentive for them then. But whatever it is, it would pay for itself methinks. This is considering the cost of treatment for all the medical issues exacerbated by being overweight

Fat tax should be like carbon credits, so I can eat 50lbs of Halloween candy on my CPAP machine but I am measured as a starving Ethiopian.

You wanna buy some of my candy credits?

Quote:
Carbon credits were devised as a mechanism to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Companies get a set number of credits, which decline over time, and they can sell any excess to another company. Carbon credits create a monetary incentive for companies to reduce their carbon emissions.
